As he cries, Kit falls to his knees before curling in on himself. Usually, he tries his best not to think about this. But, it's being brought all front and center like this. There's nothing he can do to stop it now.

But. . . Cherry's words are at least helpful.

Despite looking like Sonic, this guy DEFINITELY is not anything like Sonic.

Kit doesn't even have the will to attempt to use his own abilities to fight back. Put against someone like this, he can't stop himself from trembling. He's scared, cowering away from Scourge.

His limp body skids to a stop, but the abuse doesn't end there. A boot stomps on his leg, causing him to cry out in pain.

Coughing up blood, he spits out a tooth, staring down at it in shock as he shakily holds himself up. He couldn't fight back at all.

" I - I'm — I'm sorry! "

Before Kitsunami can even blink, he's flying backwards from the kick to his chest. And, just as quickly, a fist collides with his jaw, knocking him away.

He's small and he doesn't weigh much, so he's tossed around easily like a ragdoll. He had no chance to fight back.

He repeats, just to get the word on his tongue.

Kitsunami is patient as she carefully speaks to him, imprinting every word in his brain. It's important. It's the only thing that matters to listen to.

Her voice calms him. Sets him at ease. And to think he could be trusted with something considered a secret makes him feel special.
