I couldn’t decide between the gold tip and the silver tip arrows but the good thing about gradient maps is they let you try out different colour pallets very easily.

This week’s challenge was more of a texturing one than a modelling one. Texturing using gradient maps! I used Vaella’s weapons for this one and my toonshader to give the textures a little more dimension!

Stylised #DarkSouls bonfire I made for fun a couple months ago. Modelling, animation and particle system all done in #blender, texturing done with #substancepainter + a toonshader I made for blender.

Some material practice tonight, I wanted to make a stylised set of materials I can use for future projects somewhat inspired by arcane!
These are two different skin tones and some metals.

Made a quick lil glowing one ring just as a fun exercise with some friends this week (:

For the maps I used a mixture of photos and pixel art to get that 90s/early 00s look as well as featuring some art by some very talented people for my wall papers and desk mat!

Last week’s challenge was to create something in the style of a ps1 game. I made my home set up and managed to keep under 2k tris for the whole set up and all textures no larger than 256x256.

Promise I haven’t forgotten about this! I spent some time looking at how others have their comms set up and then got sick so that took me out for a week but I’ve been back at it today and I’ve almost got everything set up.

Anyway as a result of said surgery I’ve been a bit slow to get back into work and making/posting art but I’d like to really jump into it this year so I’m gonna do my best to get set up for #commissions so watch this space!

It’s obviously been a while since I got the stitches out, I had the bandage for a few days, here’s how it looked when I could take it off and today!
Part of the skin ended up splitting/peeling but otherwise it’s healing very well! Doing physio work to loosen up the muscles, it’s still kinda tight.

Thought I also posted this here but, Life update: had surgery on my wrist, woke up with a cast, GP cut the cast off too early so I got a new one then finally got it off Xmas eve and had my stitches taken out!!

Got up at 5am to do the last little bit of anniversary stuff before servers reset this morning.
Time for a well earned nap 😴
