Great to see chorus waves in the news! We have created music inspired by and including chorus emissions recorded by the @bas.ac.uk Halley VLF receiver. This track, from our album Aurora Musicalis, features some amazing recordings of chorus waves accompanied by ambient music on a grand piano. 🇦🇶📡🎼🎵🎹😎.

Anyone ever had Facebook cancel their accounts, I’ve clearly been hacked via instagram & facebook have closed my account 😒. Weirdly in order to resolve or question their judgement you need to log in to issue a complaint, something they won’t allow you to do 🙄 😝

What’s new on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list? Alongside Japanese sake and Brazilian cheese, Europe made a strong showing on the UNESCO list. Ukrainian 'pysanky' and Parisian roof restorers were just two of the continent’s treasures to be added.

Lots of tools from a variety of recording tech, drawing graphic scores, live coding applications, DAWs, iOS audio apps, to name a few. Though I’m trying to work more sustainably and rethink my tech use.

I work with AI a lot but not yet as a part of my practice, I’ve not yet found a useful way to make through or with AI. My medium is sound and there are a lot better technologies for sound than AI.

Text about the work I created for this festival, my concept for The Seasons Linda O'Keeffe (Ireland, 1975) The Seasons (2024) 10' World Premiere The idea of Vivaldi's original work, Four Seasons, was to create pieces that delineate seasonal experiences; the music evoked a sense of how each season was felt and experienced. The Seasons explores the non-fixity of our weather, the extremes that now appear throughout a year and the patterns of heat and cold that trigger explosive storms. The sonic landscape has been and continues to be transformed by the gaps in our living ecosystem, with the loss of some life forms and the increased emergence of others. It also explores a possible hybrid future season, where our technological transformation becomes embedded within our natural
