I finally started reading my first Dick Gregory book today and I am immediately and fully locked in. No doubt that I am going to make it a critical move to add more of his books to my library after this one.

I am so tempted to do this too but do I need another project?
So many good books here. I just added Glasgow Boys to my needs list.

I’m really glad for you that it did happen even that late in their ride. Getting to see Jerry… there really just is no substitute or match for that.

It dates me but I feel honored to be able to have seen the Grateful Dead quite a number of times and witness their craft. It will never ever be anything close to the same with Jerry, Phil and now Bobby gone.

It’s a compelling page turner for sure. Perfect little in between book with what I think will be a good kick in it.

I kinda randomly grabbed “The Ballad Of Black Tom” by Victor LaValle off my shelf to be my likely final book of the year. (After just finally reading “Giovanni’s Room” after way too much putting that off)

I may be finally trying it out in ‘26 too! May the odds be in our favor!

The tragic Challenger disaster. In my science class that was taught by one of the teachers who nearly made it to the final group to be onboard. Quite the emotional class day for all of us.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.

And find whatever way to talk with voices after you finish the books (not just via text). It’s so lovely for us to commune with one another 1/
