Was going through my photos and found some old pics of me playing in steam. I was 30 in these pics, but I've always loved playing in steam. Best part of going to railway museums: the steam.

In my experience, courage is usually the product of love and/or solidarity. When we are deeply invested in each other, we are more likely to take risks that we wouldn't take out of mere principle, or for the sake of people we feel disconnected from. Our alienation mass produces cowardice.

"Flooding the zone" is so stupid. Bored of watching five fast people run a race? How about a million shuffling zombies that the same five fast people have to elbow through before they can run the exact same race! In the end, people are still going to listen to the good podcasts. What's the point?

It's 2025. I'm so bored of news outlets giving failed AI spam companies airtime. If this didn't have venture capital, it wouldn't have anything. The people who use AI (depressingly) use it for personal ego boosts. Eg, LARPing as authors, artists, lovers, etc. Not even they want someone else's slop.

Weird that the floating sky rock has connected me with so many people around the world.

Except, maybe that's not weird, seeing as it's a thing so many of us see and experience, no matter where on the planet we are, or what our lives look like.

Couldn't see the full moon last night, but the sky is blue, so I'm hopeful I'll get a peek tonight.

But, you know, radical empathy. Maybe they're going through some shit, maybe there's trauma of their own that's biting them in the arse. Who knows? There were more supportive people than not. It just makes me sad sometimes how senseless a lot of this hate is.

Oof. It's rough out there folks. Spent an hour holding a 'no more dead kids' sign and it made some people very angry.
