Election infrastructure has, only in the last few months, become amongst the *least-supported* sectors that are federally designated as "National Critical Infrastructure" due to near-total CISA cuts in staff, intel sharing, funding, resources, security advisors, and support for the EI-ISAC/MS-ISAC.
05.08.2025 15:52 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0An untold part of the story: congressional redistricting also forces reprecincting at the local level - which would be rushed for 2026, expensive to local counties/taxpayers, subject to legal challenges, and create chaos for local election administrators (who are already pushed to their limits).

21.07.2025 19:18 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0At a time when the Postal Service is seeing year-over-year increases in serious crimes, both to employees and to mailboxes themselves, as well as mail theft, USPIS needs to focus on its core mission and not be subsumed into playing support staff for another agencyโs priorities.9 If DHS needs additional staff and resources for their investigations, they can request additional appropriations from Congress as well as end reduction-in-force plans and hiring freezes that limit their ability to allocate and maintain appropriate staffing. On behalf of the countless Americans who are concerned about illegal narcotics, mail theft, child protection, we ask that you immediately end USPISโ participation in DHSโ immigration task force and allow the service to renew its focus on its essential law enforcement efforts. Please provide an update as to the status of this request by Friday, August 1, 2025.

@nytimes.com reported yesterday that Trump was urging the DOJ to investigate election officials for alleged crimes in failing to secure election systems. This doomed and twisted effort seems part of a larger scheme to sow distrust in upcoming elections. /1
