I LOVE retro games! BUT while there are many problems with the current video game industry (overworking, acquisitions, massive layoffs, etc), I don't agree with the doomers saying gaming is dead.

Maybe it's a recency bias, but 2025 has been filled with AMAZING releases.

making vn is easy you just write a book and then you read back each line from that book and think what facial expression are they making and then you draw each expression and then line by line you add a tag for the face they are making. the best part is you only have to do this a few thousand times

This week's game is SD Gundam Dimension War, the least popular retail Virtual Boy game according to Backloggd.com. It's not too hard to see why that is, but at the same time, I find this game's extremely bare minimum approach to the strategy genre to be curiously endearing:
