Who here is doing the Meta Boycott? 5/5-5/11th? I had to delete the apps off my phone to make sure I stick to it. I want to flex this voice of mine any way I can and if its absence with others can speak volumes- well I hope it’s deafening to Zuckerberg.

It authoritarian take over 101: create chaos and painful daily life. Then say you are the ONLY one who can stop it but need more power from the people to do so. Then grab the power and squash the people some more and never have a fair election again. This is where we are folks.

I wish she would put her vote where her mouth is. She has confirmed every one of the appointees. I am born and raised Alaskan and have many relatives still there. Russia is gonna take that first :/

Let’s not forget that it was Elon who said we had to burn the government down to rebuild. That it would get way worse before it could better. He is wasting no time in either promise. 🀬

2/ and 2) unless you have a good line on that next job, it’s gonna take 7+ months to find another. At least that is what everyone I know who got laid off recently experienced.

Tread carefully… there is a good chance you won’t get that $$

1/ if you’re a federal worker who was promised 7mos severance to make way for MAGA in your role. Couple of things: 1) Trump often makes promises and then doesn’t pay. I would imagine that severance will never come and all you will get is runaround.

I think my biggest fear of the incoming administration is that when Putin decides, and I fully believe he will, to invade Alaska, Trump will bow down. I don’t know what my family there will do but I think before 2025, Russia will have territory on this continent and it’s terrifying.

Politico is reporting this is misinformation. That the fire budget for LA increased - it is that at the time of the budget, they were negotiating with the fire department so set aside funds. When the negotiations were done, the increase was close to 50mil for fire.

And this when we first moved into the White House, as you can see, records have been my thing along but those are the little legs that couldn’t step over carpet tack strips on unfinished stairs. Lucky to have survived teenage parents

It had to be wired shut to heal. My aunt says I was quite the ventriloquist- talking with my mouth wired shut. This is a photo of me playing β€œoffice” at the White House where my mom says you can see the bruise on my cheek and this is when my jaw is wired shut. 8/

Is also where I was when my young parents thought I could sleep on the top bunk because there was a β€œsafety bar” there wasn’t carpet in our room either, just a concrete floor, so when I rolled under the safety bar being 3 years years old, and landed face first on the floor, my jaw broke and 7/

That meant I stepped on tacks if trying to get to the basement. My teenage parents didn’t pull them up, they expected 3 year old me to figure out how to step over them. But stepping on carpet tack strips, to this day, can be felt like I’m 3 years old again just by seeing them. The White House 6/

Plays in is that these stairs were build to have carpet and so the carpet tack strips were in place. In the reel, the dad and kids were pulling up the tack strips and this memory came flooding back. My little legs were to short so to descend stairs, I had to slide my leg down the step and well 5/

next door, our White House was 2 floors with on floor being an unfinished basement. It was a split level. So you walked in and you had to choose: upstairs or basement? Only not only was the basement unfinished, the stairs to it too, were only partially finished. So how the reel of pulling up 4/

someone walk out the door and fall to their death. I also recall the yards were all still dirt because no one had put in a lawn. This was mid-1970s in Anchorage, Ak. We didn’t live in the White House long. It was the first house my teen parents would buy. But not unlike random 2nd story door 3/

Because I was ages 2-4 living there and that was its color. The White House was new construction as I can guess, in a new neighborhood because next door was a house that scared me. The neighbors had a door on their second story with no staircase to it built. My young mind worried that I would see 2/

Gonna use this to write down my stories (not made up but my weird life ones) while I still remember. As I’m 52 come March, memories fade.

Tonight I saw a reel of someone pulling up carpet and I’m reminded of the first house I remember. All my life I have referred to it as β€œthe White House” 1/
