Important evidence, suggesting that socioeconomic background is the primary driver of GCSE results
Which is also the primary driver of participation in higher education, and a primary driver of wages later in life

I am so bored of everything to do with echo chambers
I donβt want to hear opinions I agree with - I want to be able to learn from others, disagree, agree, be challenged.
Yet somewhere we agree on the basics of respect, evidence, equity
What is the word for that? Chatter pit? Opinion cave?

Thank you Johnny, a thoughtful considered response as expected. For what itβs worth I think the priority point is the crux of it. The βpublicβ are just not an audience HEPβs have the resource to persuade. Creating local allies/advocates by doing all the things you described will serve them well

I really do appreciate the commitment to punctuation on these Tory signs, not sure you get colons on SWP ones

I, of course, agree with you Johnny - out of interest, why you think Unis struggle to articulate that message to the wider public and moreover their localities?

I continued to be amazing as to how David Beckhamβs brand is so strong while at the same time flogging 10βs of different products. There is nothing the man wonβt sell (stella, air fryers, walkers crisps, H&M, supplements is not even the half of it) yet he simply is never seen as a sell out
