The 2nd Trump admin hasn’t awarded a full funding grant agreement to a single major transit project during its first year.

At the same time, it has attempted to pause or kill funding for existing projects in NYC & Chicago. There’s no upside here.

Why are such dire transit service cuts happening in Portland? Lack of leadership. The state transportation package is now stalled as it goes to the voters, and in any case its transit funding was only for 2 years. The region or the City of Portland may need to step up. 7/
