Today a number of veterans, one being 80 years old, were arrested at the Capitol building in DC for peacefully protesting against the unconstitutional unlawful assembly of the orange felon’s dictator march. I stand with these heroes who stand against fascism.

If this is how federal agents treat a sitting U.S. Senator peacefully asking questions, how far will they go?

This is absolutely insane, and criminal. Everyone, especially a Senator representing the state, has a right to speak out.

The fact that the agents felt protected in acting this way says everything.

We’re quickly traversing a dangerous path

It’s not illegal for a United States Senator to go to a public press conference and ask questions about your constituents safety.

It's our job.

The part of me that still has some hope for this country believes people, seeing the video of Senator Padilla being assaulted, plus brown communities being terrorized in LA, will be too much for the majority.
