I mean this is so far pretty close to a 10 out of 10 night for Democrats. Winning everywhere! Statewide in PA and GA, huge margin in VA gov race. Sherrill tracking double digits as well! Mamdani above 50% in a the highest turnout in NYC since 1969. Big pick ups in VA House of Delegates.

This is looking like a very good night for democracy and sanity. What a relief.

We showed up to No Kings in record numbers. We took that motivation to the polls in historic numbers and made our voices HEARD. We have brought Blue Tsunami! 🌊💙

Our fight is far from over but our votes stated loud & clear tonight that united we are an unstoppable force and change is coming.

Also worth remembering: Republicans are only doing this to look like the hero to save themselves. Until they swear-in Grijalva, keep ACA affordable, AND fund SNAP benefits, Democrats MUST hold. the. line. Times are different, we cannot win against this Administration by caving, act accordingly.

Not that long a wait, honestly. Turkey prices are already starting to skyrocket like all other grocery products and SNAP benefits are expiring so most people won't even be having a Thanksgiving this year, just choosing between eating or freezing to death. And 1/3 Americans STILL approve of Trump.

You got it! Jeffries (and probably Schumer too) are quaking in their boots because the people totally fed up with strongly worded letters, wagging fingers, and “letting it ride,” ESPECIALLY now with literally everything on the line. We want action and Mamdani finally seems the one to truly do it.

We don't have to compromise on programs like SNAP and affordable healthcare that working people rely on.

We can reopen the government AND protect these resources at the same time. Republicans need to bring us back in session and come to the negotiating table.

Sen. Jeff Merkley has been speaking on the Senate floor since 6:20pm last night — protesting Trump and warning that "tyranny has arrived."

"Trump is shredding our Constitution. Is it okay for masked federal agents to arrest people off the street because of their skin color … Not in a free America."

They're so convinced that after they squeeze everything out of us, they'll ride out their wealth until they die of old age (many are ancient anyway). It's all short-term thinking — they're not realizing just how much they'll be screwed over when we're ripped out of the equation. They never learn.

We must demand that our government work for us and come to the table. We must call, e-mail, and do everything in our power to demand that the millions of affected Americans get their WIC & SNAP benefits for November.

Trump can live without his golden ballroom, Americans cannot live without food.

This is cruelty at its core. The holidays ar a time for families to gather, enjoy food, and celebrate traditions. This year, it is a time of prioritizing survival over tradition. It is a time of forcing parents to tell their children why they won't be celebrating this year like other kids.

The USDA has a contingency fund of about $6 million and November benefits are expected to total around $8 billion. And nearly 7 million children, new & pregnant mothers will also soon be affected. $300 million often used in child nutrition funds was given to keep WIC running the rest of the month.

One in eight Americans depend on SNAP to buy food for their families and is the nation's largest anti-hunger program. In two weeks, federal funding will be depleted and the USDA already has announced there is not enough money to pay those in need.

Why does this matter? Donald Trump has already been trying to hide the climbing food insecurity the same way he has the economy and high unemployment rates: deleting the data and firing the publisher. He also bragged earlier this year about his tariffs making the holidays “better than ever before.”

🧵 8.1 million of us came to the streets on No Kings 2.0 to loudly oppose the Trump administration. We now need that same number to rally behind the +42 million Americans who are losing their SNAP benefits on November 1st, 2025. The hunger crisis is about to hit an all-time high unless we stop it.

Just remember: MAGA and the GOP only consider it political violence when it happens to THEIR side. They do not care about anybody else, even when there is an obvious, deliberate attempt like with Rep. Jeffries.

They are criminals defending/egging on other criminals that need to be prosecuted.

When people feel safe, they get bold. When we get bold, we get confident and that's when the ball really starts rolling. No Kings paved the way — especially in deep-red states. We are all fed up with what's happening to this country and the people in it and putting our foot down.

Saying this from my own POV: The people who say they're worthless don't understand. They help us to do the very things they rave about being done. Many of us have social anxiety, are scared of ICE, or never protested before. We ALL swallowed our fear, myself included, and showed up for No Kings.
