Flashback to 2021 when I raised over Β£3000 for Pharmacist Support.

I’ve always been passionate about pharmacy, that is why I am standing for election for the National Council at the new Royal College of Pharmacy.

If you are a member please consider voting for me.

Proud to share that my nomination for the inaugural English Pharmacy Advisory Council has been accepted. I want to ensure real‑world pharmacy experience shapes policy and every sector has a voice. If you'd like to know more or share your views, I’d welcome the conversation.

Crossing borders and breaking barriers: why we need to truly value global contributions to pharmacy and healthcare There was nothing dramatic about my decision to leave Pakistan in 2011 β€” no defining moment, no sudden epiphany. Of course I didn’t say hello so I guess it doesn’t class as an interaction.

Today I raised serious concerns about whistleblowing at Bradford NHS Trust with the Health Secretary, including the landmark ruling in favour of Dr Max McLean, the former Chair. I look forward to discussing this further with the Health Minister soon.

Does the End Justify theΒ Means? A Critical Look at the RPS Royal College Vote As the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) approaches a pivotal moment in its history, with members soon to vote on transforming into a royal college, a critical question emerges about the democratic process itself. While the debate around the merits of becoming a royal college continues, we must not overlook an equally important concern: the voting threshold that will determine this significant change. The Democratic Deficit The current voting mechanism stipulates that the transition requires a two-thirds majority of votes castβ€”not two-thirds of all eligible members.

But my overriding concern is that this change goes through on a 12% turnout.

That isn't the right footing for a Royal College to start on.

That’s actually really poor for such a monumental change.

The charter seems to suggest 2/3 of eligible voters.

If such a big change is enacted on the back of a 10% turnout that is not the will of the members.

That doesn’t seem great, if only a few hundred votes can change the Charter?

Not the 2/3 of eligible voters?

10.03.2025 14:00 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

So it’s 2/3 of members eligible to vote required to the approve the change ?

10.03.2025 13:59 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

And in reading the regulations, this appears to apply to "non-chater" special resolutions.

So as I said, not very clear, and hence an ask for clarification.

I’m sorry to say that after a 73 day run streak, there will be no run today.

73 days, 597km, one official half marathon.

The challenges of travelling, Ramadan, poor sleep, work pressures and finally an aggravated tendon have brought the streak to an end.

Loved it !
