41 years ago, The #Tripods arrived on BBC1. To celebrate, we've great pleasure in spreading the word that film-maker Charlie Francis has a treat in store. Coming October 1st, short film 'When The Tripods Came Back' takes a fond look at the Tripods40 celebrations.

The Tripods (1984-1985). Played Will Parker throughout the series, appearing in all 25 episodes. John quit acting a few years after The Tripods ended.

The Tripods (1984-1985). Played Henry Parker throughout the series, appearing in 15 of the 25 episodes. Jim also opted not continue acting after The Tripods.

Ceri Seel

The Tripods (1984-1985). Played Jean-Paul "Beanpole" Deliet throughout the series, appearing in 17 of the 25 episodes. After acting in The Tripods, Ceri Seel did not continue acting.

Robin Hayter

The Tripods (1985). Played Fritz Eger in the second series, appearing in 9 episodes. Robin has also appeared in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, The Gentle Touch and The Bill. In addition to this, he has become a Ski and Travel Guide.

Ken Freeman

Composed the music and title theme for The Tripods. He is most prominently known for his work playing most of the synthesisers on Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds and writing the theme music for Casualty and Holby City.
