Pi day followed by ides of March means a lot of fun food.

And Yom Kippur-

You have to spend the day hungry, feeling bad about the bad things you did over the past year, and you have to hope you think about them hard enough to get another year in the book of life.

But at least no one is pinching you.

Reasons St. Patrick's Day is the worst (as celebrated in the USA)
- Still not good food
- People constantly threaten to pinch you
- All the stereotypes of Irish people and leprechauns feels icky

Reasons Valentines Day is the worst-
-No good food. Yeah there's chocolate, but you don't get to pick it out yourself and it's mostly crappy.
-Too heteronormative with no space for aroace people
-Forced to deal with candy hearts that are both stupid and have gelatin

Spent some time ranking the worst holidays with the kids last night. Official result-

Valentines Day is the worst
St. Patrick's Day is second worst
Yom Kippur coming in third.

Gotta say, was very surprised Yom Kippur didn't make the top spot, but the arguments were unassailable.

G- Women’s probably tells you what it tastes like and men’s are named for concepts like “courage”?

Also, Lynn and I lived in a basement apartment and the windows got snowed over so there was very little natural light even during the day. Definitely added to the weirdness.
