Actually, we should. The Presidency was only a figurehead/spokesperson for the USA peoples as an emissary to other world leaders across the globe. Congress and Senate and Supreme Court Justices have failed in their roles to rein in the "power" that a parallel role with dictatorship has "accrued".

Blue states should make democracy the prevailing theme of the upcoming school year. Not just civics/social studies classes, but democracy-reinforcing lessons & experiences integrated throughout the curriculum.
