Massive waves breaking on a stormy day. There is some sun on the froth of the waves being taken upwards in heavy winds. Above are some dark clouds above a patch of brightness.

Some days will stay with you forever.

This was taken on an incredible stormy morning at Reynisfjara in south #Iceland in Feb 2020. Never seen anything like it.

We have had weeks of gales in #Shetland with many days when the ferry was unable to sail and supermarket shelves are empty.

We are lucky to have some amazing locally produced food and everyone keeps plenty spare in cupboards and freezer.

I decided to go off program & do a unique USAF service utility aircraft.
The kit is very good but SUPER fiddly.
The wings, surprisingly gave me fits with alignment, but with patience it worked.

Currently on display at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.

Found in 1831 on a beach at Uig on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, the Chessmen dates to the late 12th or early 13th century.
