“Health insurance in America is very expensive, because health care is very expensive,” said Katherine Baicker, a health economist who is the provost at the University of Chicago. “And that’s true in every market. What’s different is who is writing the check,

From the article:
"The congressional fight over whether to extend generous subsidies that help people pay these premiums highlights two broader truths about health insurance in America: It’s expensive — and every other market is also subsidized by the government.
A great explainer. Read this please. All health insurance in the US is subsidized. Most by the government but in less transparent ways tha than the Affordable Care Act.

Given the cost of #DementiaDonOld 's military deployment against "narcoterrorists" and the extra judicial murders he's conducting, wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy the drugs and have the DEA burn them?

No one should ever be put in the position of having to pay foe a big increase to keep your health care or go without.
If you are, or you know anyone who is in your 20s or 30s tell them to read this. Actually everyone should read it (not behind a pay wall) 1/

#DementiaDonOld & #Voughtamort seizing money from blue states and cities which was already appropriated by Congress as "punishment" just shows what small men they are. Sorry guys, we can see how you are trying to compensate for you self perceived inadequacies. As to the GOP in Congress who refuse to stand up and protect their power of the purse, grow a spine or resign. Your constituents and the rest of us deserve better. ~ Denn Santoro

The fax was invented in 1865. The scanning fax in 1880. (Not typos). Why is the medical industry still using them as their primary means of communication? Please, at least come into the 20th century and use email. Also, all your electronic medical records should be able to talk to each other, not be their own silos. We were building those in the 90s and then Epic, Meditech and others got big, saw profit, and screwed it up. ~ Denn Santoro
