Saw two political ads this am. One from John Cornyn talking about extremest Muslims and Sharia law, the other from James Talarico talking about drug costs and health care. One of those is a real issue in Texas. C’mon Texas, VOTE Democrat.

Rolling Tom Homan out in a new suit was as the old saying goes, just lipstick on a pig.

Trump and his administration are the perpetrators of the rhetoric, violence and abuse. Like many abusers, they blame their actions on their victims.

Thanks to Talarico and Crockett for a respectful and substantive debate. We, Texans, need to unite behind whichever one comes out of primary and elect them to the Senate. Both have bright futures in politics.

It’s the same type of risk assessment logic that led to the Biden disaster last year. I think it’s time for them to find the courage to really fight for what’s right and not what’s safe.

There is no substance to Lindsay Graham. It’s all performative and the more emphatic and emotive he is, the more he is just putting on an act. He has no purpose other than trying to get elected for another term. He wasn’t “corrupted” by Trump he was only exposed for what he is.

Overturning Citizens United needs to be part of the Democrats platform and every candidate must run on it as one of their priorities. One Person-One Vote.

Sorry Senator Kaine but strongly worded statements aren’t enough. GOP already knows you lack conviction from your unwillingness to really fight for health care subsidies. Another budget fight coming, or have you already caved on that?

I believe that oligarchs like Zuckerberg really only care about amassing more wealth. They are driven by unfettered greed and will appear to care about anything that feeds their greed. If it doesn’t feed their greed to “care” right now.

So, Trump claims the world is at the mercy of his morality. The man is completely immoral so this either nonsensical or scary as hell. BTW, JD should look in the mirror if he wants to see the face of real extremist ideology.

This is not about removing a criminal dictator to help the people of Venezuela.This is all about cutting Trump and his cronies in on the spoils of their crimes. As long as they agree to do that, he will be happy. Trump admires criminal dictators.

We all should take him seriously as though he was Hitler reincarnated. The criminality and brutality seem to be growing exponentially with Trump and his sycophants.

Unfortunately, I don’t think we can call it a failed insurrection. We have an illegitimate president that should be in jail and a democracy that is quickly being replaced by autocracy. Last hope may be the midterms if they are even legitimate.

When DOGE began its Waste-Fraud-Abuse program earlier this year it was in fact initiating the elimination of programs that help people in favor of kick-starting Trump and his cronies' waste, fraud and abuse of our government and our country.

The ignorance and obvious hypocrisy of that post boggles the mind.

You, the other 7 dems who caved and all of the republicans own this. It it’s not resolved by Monday, you are responsible because you didn’t have the courage to force republicans to extend the subsidies while you had the leverage.

Billionaires are greedy and greed by its very nature will never regulate itself and will use its resources to fight any attempt at regulation. It will work hard to convince you that it’s in your interest not to regulate it. Greedy people can be beneficial but only if they are properly regulated.

ACA would be much better if GOP hadn’t undermined it from the very beginning. They have done everything they can to make it dysfunctional. GOP does not believe health care is a basic human right. Make them own that belief.

Stop saying “war” already! There is no war, this is just murder. Don’t know why they don’t disable the boats, arrest the smugglers, confiscate the drugs and hold a press conference to parade the drugs and smugglers for all to see?

Among the many things that must be done to restore democracy is the structure of the Supreme Court including number of justices, selection/approval process, term limitations and ethics code. 2026 and 2028 elections may be our last chance. Dems must control legislative and executive branch.

It should now be clear to everyone including MAGA that American consumers pay for tariffs and that Trump knows this. Otherwise, he wouldn’t reduce HIS tariffs on food to bring down prices.

It will be early December before they have the final vote to release the files. I doubt that we will ever see the full Epstein files and it’s likely not just Trump being protected. Suspect very rich and powerful people are pulling the strings here to protect themselves.

You either failed to lead your caucus or more likely you led them from behind closed doors to this surrender. Either way you should be replaced as minority leader immediately.
