There are so many children in our community that don’t get the opportunity to have a warm/fresh meal at home if it’s an early dismissal day. Any child that is hungry deserves to eat.

My son is fortunate enough to go to school in a district that pr ides free breakfast and lunch to any and all kids. This year they’re also providing breakfast and lunch on half days, which they never did before. Kids can take home a sack lunch at the end of the half-days. I’m so happy for thissss

RE: Food bank donations. Cash is by far the best thing you can give. Don't bother buying a bunch of stuff to donate, the food bank can buy much more for less.
HOWEVER If you clean your pantry and find a bunch of unexpired food that you know you won't use, donate them.
