OP's Tav points at a masked bandit in Baldur's Gate 3, as Astarion readies his rapier. TAV: Kill that guy, Astarion! Make him wish he was never born! OP's Tav then changes his mind. A cursor hovers over his portrait in the party bar and clicks. Astarion whips his head around to glare at Tav, who is now highlighted. TAV: ...Actually, I changed my mind. Maybe it would be better if I applied a buff or a debuff first, so we can maximize your damage potential... Tav is then stabbed violently through the chest by a smiling Astarion, who rolled a crit. ASTARION: Your last save was an hour ago, Doll <3

Kat and Hechoton pass by a cozy-looking cat and continue their conversation, each giving the cat some pets as they walk by. HECH: What do you think of Al? KAT: Kiiind of rude, but maybe justified in some ways... KAT: I don't know. I'll make an effort to work things out with him, but I can't promise we'll have a great relationship. HECH: I'm not asking you to MARRY him, Katherine. KAT: Not THAT kind of relationship. They enter a plaza of sorts. Some people appear to be handing out flyers. KAT: But more importantly, what's going on with you and Raven? HECH: ...Honestly, sometimes I'm unsure myself.

Kat and Hech approach the people handing out flyers, as Hech does a bit of monologuing. HECH: He saved my life. More than once. A brief flashback panel of a much younger Hechoton and a seemingly-unchanged Raven. Hech appears to be appending magic into a thing he is building. HECH: He co-founded Anthea with me. His work has been vital to the success of the company in this kingdom. I appreciate all that, of course, but... One of the people hands Kat a missing pet flyer, which seems be about Sprinkles, the cat from the previous page. Kat and Hech give each other a look, before Kat runs back. HECH: Raven makes some... choices, especially with... Well, let's just say I'd keep my guard up around him if I were you. Kat returns with Sprinkles. The two people look overjoyed. HECH: Better that I handle him. The flyer people give Sprinkles kisses as Kat and Hech exit through another alleyway. HECH: He IS a Guardian, so his goals won't always align with us mortals.

These past two updates, we introduced and then concluded the most important part of our comic: The Sprinkles Saga.

Out of curiosity, how do you handle adding his tattoos? They're gorgeous and I love what they bring to his design, but I can't imagine drawing them each and every time

The same artist sitting at the same tablet, imagining the same timeline, except now their expression is one of some big side-eye and the image is zoomed way out to reveal ALL of the plot that has to come beforehand. There is a label waaaay near the start that says "you are here."

A comic inspired by a Phandelver D&D campaign I ran two years ago. When my party’s rogue came to me with his origin story I knew someone was in for a harsh lesson. The real imaginary world isn’t so kind!

The artist desire to create rich, detailed worlds vs the also-artist desire to not want to have wrist and joint pains 😔

PANEL 1: past medli is drawing her long-form webcomic. PAST MEDLI: I'm gonna thumbnail like seven pages of dense crowd scenes, and they're gonna be full of detailed, unique character designs so I can fit as many reader cameos in them as possible! PANEL 2: a disheveled-looking present medli emerges from a doorway in the background, glaring at past medli with complete and utter contempt. PANEL 3: present medli approaches closer. Past medli remains oblivious to this. PANEL 4: present medli gets right up behind past medli. PRESENT MEDLI: I'm going to fucking KILL you

Swole plague doctor

PANEL 1: CORNELIUS, frustrated: I want to STEAL! DM, sitting behind his screen: Ok. PANEL 2: The DM introduces a man with sad-looking eyes carrying a comically-large pouch of gold, labeled "GOLD." DM: Here's Eliander and his poorly-secured wallet. He's so, SO proud of all you've done for Saltmarsh. PANEL 3: The DM taunts Cornelius with sad-eyed Eliander, whose gold pouch is now labeled "A LOT of gold." Corny looks uncomfortable. DM: Go ahead, Corny. Steal from him. CORNELIUS: Uh- ELIANDER: You're such a good friend. PANEL 4: The DM's face is now pressed up against Corny's, smug as he can be. Cornelius looks like a sad wet pathetic blob. DM: Roll a sleight of hand check, Corny. CORNELIUS: I don't wanna steal anymore :(

I built my plague doctor alchemist to be this kind of sneaky, thieving rapscallion who would steal medical supplies in order to pretend to be a "man of medicine." But when push came to shove, I couldn't bring myself to actually steal from anyone, since our DM made all the NPCs really likable RIP 😔

A D&D party is trekking through some sort of American Southwestern mesa-scape in a horse/mule caravan of sorts. Brendan, a pink tiefling, seems perplexed by his current situation. BRENDAN: ...Hey, Dungeon Master? Are we still in Curse of Strahd? DUNGEON MASTER: Yes, Brendan. BRENDAN: It doesn't feel very... gothic horror. DUNGEON MASTER: Well I mean.... this is just the natural outcome of all the crazy bullshit you guys managed to pull off last session. Brendan looks shocked. BRENDAN: What the hell could we have possibly done last session that resulted in this?? DUNGEON MASTER: I guess it's been a few months since we've played, so I can't blame you for forgetting. But this is why you've been taking notes, right?

Brendan flips open a little pocket notebook, which is woefully barren aside from a few out-of-context phrases: IZEK HAS MY TUXEDO CLOTHING GRANNY NEEDS BEAR ASSES RED YELLOW GREEN BLUE BLACK CLEAR Brendan sweats.
