I was a bored office manager, my daughter was starting school and I told my husband I wanted to do a law degree. Started part time at 35, qualified as a solicitor 7 years later (4yr degree, 1yr professional diploma, 2yr traineeship). Best thing I ever did!

I made a #cake for my in-laws' 60th wedding anniversary. Lemon and elderflower with cream cheese icing, fresh flowers from their garden and dried thistles heather from my mother's day gift from my kids. Turned out ok I think!

Signed firsts when I can get them, limited editions always a bonus. Am spoilt with the Edinburgh Book Festival as most authors who come do signings and it's just up the road from my office!

I did a v short trip in October. The open top bus tour was good to get my bearings and get a bit of history. Also, the distillery district is nice, with a walk back towards the central area along the shore. Foodwise, Trattoria Nervosa in Yorkville and Estiatorio Milos on Bay are recommended. Enjoy!

I count a book as read in the month in which I read the majority of it. Sounds like a Feb book on this basis...
