Can We Really Be ‘Fit For The Future’ Without Physical Activity? | The King's Fund The government’s 10 Year Health Plan promises a shift from sickness to prevention but overlooks the role of physical activity, says GP registrar Bonar McGuire.

Physical activity reduces the risk of long-term conditions such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer, and supports good mental health.

So why does the 10 Year Health Plan pay such limited attention to it?

Special contact lenses let you see infrared light – even in the dark Nanoparticle-infused contact lenses can transform infrared radiation into different colours of visible light, potentially enabling a new form of night vision – no batteries required

Getting a little closer to that dream of having infrared vision with a special contact lens tested on human wearers that doesn't require batteries.

But don't count on having perfect night vision from this technology just yet. 🧪

We’re still learning about the steep cuts to CDC, but I want to focus on the particularly dangerous and misguided elimination of CDC’s tobacco control program. If it’s not reversed, this would have devastating consequences and put American lives at risk.

Lots more from the elective plan will be drip-fed over the next few days - clearly a big NHS moment for no10

I'm told it'll include new direct payment to GP practices - initially £20 per case - to provide specialist 'advice and guidance' to patients to avoid hospital referrals
