Please join us as we feature the artworks of Caitlin McCarthy, Glenn Arthur, Lauren Elizabeth Miller, Richard Munoz-Moore, K. Pony Goodwin, and Chelsey Costa at ARTHOUSE on R Gallery, 1021 R Street in Sacramento. The opening reception is Saturday, July 12th from 5:00PM – 8:00PM.

I was finally able to visit the exhibition at Sacred Nine Tattoo yesterday. I loved it. There was a lot of great work. The show has almost ended and I highly encourage you to see it before it's over.

I was very excited to participate and here's my contribution. Two of these where made for the show.

I've been working on this painting over 6 months. , and I'm still not finished. I accept that this is the first oil painting I've done in many years, and I'm using different paints and mediums than before. I'm taking breaks to see it between sittings. What do you think? Is it paying off to go slow?

I stopped by @sarahrenekraft.bsky.social and my studio #13 at Arthouse on R . I was prepping to be open in a few days for #secondsaturday . While there I managed to fit in some time with this painting. I think I'm over halfway finished I think.

I had some meetings with other local artists at @sarahrenekraft.bsky.social and my studio last week. While I was there, I brought some paintings in the studio to finish.

On our drive home from a show this weekend, @sarahrenekraft.bsky.social played "King and Lionheart." She told me how it reminded her of our relationship. She recited the lyrics and played it again. I agreed and was moved. I love how we inspire each other to be better. ❤️

There are some pieces I've had on hold for a bit. I'm going to finish these up. I'm submitting them to a local show @sacredninetatoostudio. This wonderful tattoo shop that's always got a great art show going.

I'm happy I was able to make it to the studio today and make some progress on my newest painting. It still has a while to go. I'm really getting a lot out of the process. I am grateful to get the chance to work in a new method.

Here's a short clip of dusting off the 24k gold leaf. It's always a fun reveal for me.

Here is a painting I'm in the middle of. It's my first #oilpainting in over a decade.It still has a long way to go, but I'm excited.
