Tried Gex 1, the 2D side scroller one. While it was graphically impressive, the game having Gex spontaneously leap off of platforms and die with limited lives was enough to delete the whole trilogy. Jokes were mostly the same as the second one, just less frequent and funny.

My suspicion is that some people google/youtube symptoms, but then don't actively seek help - picking another tribe, not getting a real diagnosis. Autistic people (generally) tend to offer specifics in everything, including how they navigate life with the condition. No easy answers/explanations.

I myself have said incredibly dumb stuff online, none of it became a widely shared conversation.

They hate choice. They hate freedom. Every editorial and headline you read from here on out, consider what they are saying about your ability to make any choice.

They hate people who can change their genders or their names. They hate people who choose not to have children. They hate people who decide not to use a social media app. They hate people who choose not to talk to certain family members. They hate people who buy one product and not another.

“The terrorists hate us for our freedom” was a big talking point under GWB, but you can apply it to our government and our media so easily today. They hate migrant workers who can travel over borders to work where/when needed. They hate asylum seekers who choose to leave a repressive country.

And also, he'll change his mind next week. These people believe in nothing concrete. Everything is about the reaction, not the content of what they are saying.

I kept pointing out 2016-2020, no charges stuck to Hillary Clinton whatsoever. You're the president, man, make it happen. Of course, his followers had no response to that. (Same reason I'm so disappointed in the Biden admin. You had one job. You'd still be in office if you had done it.)

Finished. Somehow I finished it. Great theming and characterization of the protagonist. Possibly the worst final boss I have ever played. The final hit is dependent on random chance, so it took 20 tries to get the final bit with full health to sync up with randomly granted opportunities for success.

I think this game killed the system more than anything else. My dad and I tried demo units at the mall, he got Red Alarm (I tried Teleroboxer, I think), and would not buy me this. Had to wait until 75% off clearance and stil had to *beg.*

Playdate VR (a present day Virtual Boy equivalent loaded with continuous stream of small and quirky indie games) would be a good April Fool's Joke and a product I would actually want.
