29.01.2025 23:34 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0As of November, 2024, 40 states have adopted โscience of readingโ legislation designed to raise student reading performance. However, 2024 4th grade NAEP reading scores went down compared to previous years. Maybe itโs time to rethink the wisdom of mandating SoR curricula as โtransformativeโ

24.11.2024 23:55 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The work was federally funded; CLAVES is not published by a for-profit curriculum company. It is free except for the cost of the books (which are awesome and worth buying anyway).
I hope folks will take a look and try it out!
My colleagues and I have documented evidence of CLAVES effectiveness among 4th and 5th grade bilingual students (DM for .pdf).

CLAVES can be used on its own or as a curricular supplement. It was designed with and for multilingual students and their teachers.
