There's no VOTE involved yet. Grijalva has pledged to sign a **discharge petition**, not cast a vote. Her signature would be the final one needed on the petition to force a vote on releasing the Epstein files. But the vote won't happen until the House is in session, even if she is sworn in.

I've always been puzzled by those "put Christ back in Christmas" bumper stickers. Like, what are they talking about? When has Christ ever been absent from the church's devotions and celebrations during the Christmas season? When have we neglected the Incarnate One in the feast of the Incarnation?

1. No, I'm specifically talking about the modern Halloween observances--the costumes, the decorations, and all that. Yes, the origin is Samhain, and that's important because that's where the idea of the day being a portal for the devil's work got started (Christian interpretation of the observance).

Actually, that claim displays ignorance of the history of dressing up in and decorating with grotesque images on Halloween. It originated by Christians to laugh at the devil. It's the same reason medieval churches are decorated with gargoyles.
