Kuuluisa varovaisuusperiaate toteutuu usein ainakin suomalaisen viranomaisen julkisen mielipiteen muodostuksessa. Minkä sinänsä ymmärtää, kun hormonihäiriköksi luokiteltua BPA:ta käytetään esimerkiksi elintarvikepakkauksissa.
