Lawmakers want to expand Texas’ teacher pay raise program. Many educators will still be left out. The Teacher Incentive Allotment gives raises to teachers based on performance. But it leaves out many educators and school staff who contribute to students' success.

Only about 25,000 teachers — out of nearly 400,000 in Texas — currently receive raises under the merit-based Teacher Incentive Allotment program.

The program also excludes essential school support staff who contribute to children’s instruction and learning.

2) know your enemy. If you live in Los Angeles, listen to 870 AM. It’s a conservative radio station where I just heard them claim ICE is showing up at schools to do child wellness checks. Always good to know what lies need to be countered.
