Proud to stand with my colleagues, parents, educators and students to demand proper funding for our schools. While schools are crumbling from $6 billion in cuts, the Education Minister brags about his government’s record. Minister, cuts are nothing to be proud of. Fund our schools!

Bill 33 will be up for debate in a couple weeks. Let’s stand together and tell Doug Ford and Minister Calandra to keep their hands off our schools.

Parents and communities deserve transparency and a voice in decisions about their schools. Unfortunately, the OCDSB supervisor is making important decisions without meaningful consultation. Instead of hiding behind closed doors, he should be engaging the community.

As they prepare to close their doors for the final time on November 1, I encourage everyone to visit and take advantage of their buy four, get the fifth free sale and to help celebrate this beloved local landmark.

The Minister’s move to ban livestreams of school board committee meetings is part of a broader pattern: Ford’s government is making decisions behind closed doors, while parents and communities are left in the dark. Ontario families deserve openness, not secrecy.

Many autistic students are denied a full education — here’s what we need for inclusive schools Integrating autistic students fully and meaningfully in classrooms is important for their education, for broader classrooms as well as for families’ employment security and well-being.

When you underfund education, you leave kids behind. Ford’s failure to invest in supports and resources for children with special needs is a choice and it’s hurting real children every day. Inclusion requires investments. #onpoli #onted

A new poll shows that majority of Ontarians oppose Ford's decision to eliminate trustees. Parents and communities want local voices in education, not hand-picked supervisors with no accountability or transparency.

The Ford government's handling of the Skills Development Fund is exactly why we cannot trust them to take over our schools. Too often, this government has prioritized giving handouts to insiders rather than real investments in classrooms and students.

On World Teachers' Day, we honour and celebrate all the incredible educators who help shape and lead the next generation of learners. But they can't do it alone. They need more funding, better resources, and smaller class sizes. Let's build a better system that respects and supports teachers.

Auditor says Ontario homebuyers could be at risk from weak builder vetting A regulatory body meant to protect new homebuyers from problem builders and sellers is effectively failing to meet its mandate, Ontario’s auditor general says.

According to the AG, the HCRA has fast-tracked license renewals for 124 licensees who had open complaints, but my constituents who filed complaints four years ago still haven't received a response.

The HCRA is supposed to protect homebuyers not bad builders.

It was the PQCHC and Bayshore Park Community Garden and Oven Harvest Fair and Pizzapalooza last weekend! Loved seeing the Bayshore pizza oven in action, connecting with community members, and enjoying the local performers in the park.

We spoke with neighbours last night about Bill 33.

Everyone is outraged about this government's attacks on the right of parents and communities to have a say in local schools, so they were more than happy to sign our petition and send an email to the premier calling on him to withdraw this bill.
