It doesn’t work like that. There’s no way to know what the critical precincts are until the votes are tabulated. In a wave election, they won’t be the same ones as a normal election.

So they have to be everywhere, and they can’t be.

In a wave year like this one, there are at least 30 seats they have to protect. It’s thousands of polling stations; and the truly vulnerable districts are mostly suburban.

They just don’t have the juice. They sent half their force to a single city and are struggling.

Such a disappointment

So she’s been identified because despite using a bunch of pseudonyms for her slop she used her real name-linked pen name on an early version her website that she got the NYT to spruik in its fluff piece, and I love that for her.

“The author asked for anonymity to protect their real identity from backlash and I gave it to them because otherwise I’d have to do journalism stuff and that’s hard work.”

I do think there is a conscious effort by some to flood the zone with homogenous slop to drown out creators from minority and marginalized communities, but the overwhelming majority just looks like grifters and people high on hype trying to make a lot of money very quickly with no other thoughts.

It’s the end result of capitalists and governments panicking about productivity flatlining over the last several years.

They don’t care about what that says about working people’s mounting struggles, they only care about making line go up.

I know we’ve moved on from trashing Melania, but I just thought I’d mention that it couldn’t even hit No. 1 at the box office during the week, and it got outperformed this weekend by Zootopia 2.
