At the weekend, WI members & the WI Loch Mess Monster gathered on the banks of the River Wye calling for healthier, plastic-free rivers.

In her address, NFWI-Wales Chair Jill Rundle called for compulsory testing and regulation of microplastics in sewage and a coherent plan for upstream solutions.

Heddiw rydyn ni wedi bod yn codi ymwybyddiaeth o’n ymgyrchoedd newid hinsawdd ac afonydd glan yn y lobi hinsawdd #GweithredwchNawrAmYDyfodol.

Today we have been raising awareness of our climate change and clean rivers campaigns at the #ActNowChangeForever climate lobby in Cardiff Bay.

The women of Margate WI at sunset on the beach, hold up heart shapes with their hands, as they celebrate launching 'Bystanders can be Lifesavers' after the Annual Meeting 2025. The campaign promotes learning CPR to help anyone struck by cardiac arrest.

Today is WI Day and our 110th birthday! For our members, 16 September always presents a chance to celebrate the firm friendships in our movement, recognise our fantastic legacy of inspiring women, and reflect on all that we achieve together through our quiet yet persistent power.

Rhannodd ein Rheolydd Llinell Gymorth, Ann Williams mewnwelediad i’n gwaith a’r niferoedd o bobl sy’n cysylltu â’r Llinell Gymorth yn wythnosol.

Ann highlighted how Domestic Abuse affects everyone and that it can often be misunderstood so awareness is vital. She also shared how there has been an increase in Older People reaching out to us and the importance of making sure the Helpline is accessible to everyone.

Yesterday we were delighted to be joined by Mererid Hopwood, Archdruid of the Gorsedd of the Bards, Beti-Wyn James, the Herald Bard and Christine James, Recorder of the Gorsedd. They discussed their roles and responsibilities and the importance of inspiring women to take up such roles.
