The new Containerization Framework on MacOS seems like a massive W from WWDC this year.

I am loving Mario Kart World so far, but why is the "Free Roam" gameplay mode just shoved down in the bottom right corner like an afterthought?

Yes agreed! I never upgraded my launch era switch to an OLED so it's a HUGE jump in quality. It's comparable to my steam deck OLED screen IMO.

The gang's all here! First impressions: the Switch 2 is MUCH more premium feeling than the original Switch. The magnetic joycons are amazing.

If AI kills the leetcode interview I take back everything bad I ever said about it.

Leetcode was always a horrible way to figure out who is actually good at building maintainable products. It only rewards those with the free time to study and memorize algorithmic problems.

Trump blatantly and illegally manipulates the market today. Literally says "GREAT DAY TO BUY" hours before calling for a pause on tariffs causing the market to spike.

And we're gonna go through this whole thing again in 90 days because no one in congress has the guts to stop him

It's unsustainable to have a mad king that can influence the stock market +/- 10% with a single executive order. What is to prevent him from repeating this ad nauseam so him + his rich friends can buy low and sell high endlessly?

Every company and retailer that is increasing prices due to tariffs needs to make it a line item on the receipt.

Make sure customers know exactly why the price has gone up.

Prices of EVERYTHING in your house are about to go up 20-40%

Global recession incoming.

The Switch 2 pricing seems right in line with what I expected. Steam Deck is $400-$650. Other high-end handhelds are even higher - ROG Ally X is $800. I am not sure why people are freaking out.

Download play making a return on the Switch 2 is an awesome feature that no one seems to be talking about.

I used Download Play on the DS ALL THE TIME!

I am amazed how well my eight year old launch-era Nintendo Switch is holding up. An eight year old phone or tablet feels damn near unusable - slowing way down due to software updates that push it beyond it's original specs and horrible battery life.

Just that Nintendo magic.

Love it. Edit predictions, while powerful, can be extremely distracting if you're "in the flow" and just want to keep going. Big change IMO for those of us that just can't vibe with "vibe coding"

We are committed to surfacing content from the Small Web in our search results, which makes Kagi uniquely different to any other search engine out there.

We strongly believe this improves the quality of search results and discoverability of high quality, relevant content (created by humans!)

@kagi.com's best feature is that it doesn't infantilize the user. It doesn't hide the results behind some "magic" obscure algorithm. It tells you exactly how those search results were chosen and gives you the power to tweak your results or change the algorithm on the fly.

Building new things is much easier than maintaining and adding features to old things.

No...

They're good at cloning/recreating things at the surface level, but when presented with an old and complicated codebase they lose the ability to perform at any substantial level.

LLMs can still be super useful, but the older and larger the code base the worse they perform.

I'm worried every tech CEO is watching these "mile wide but inch deep" demos of what Cursor/v0/replit/etc can do and thinking "Why can't my engineers working on a 10 year old product perform this quickly? Just use these tools and it will fix all of our problems!"
