I’ve just started a time travel novel for escapist reading, but…somebody just screwed with the timeline and now the Nazis won WWII and the police are brutal beyond belief. Suddenly this does not feel like escapist reading anymore….

This is all just so sad. Enraging, yes, but huge sadness that this is where we landed.

It means I become more insular, learning who my allies are & aren’t. My income is publicly funded through SocSec and pension, so I worry about that. Cuts to Medicare will be horrific because my 2ndary only pays on what Medicare approves. We need to show up 4 each other now more than ever before!
