July 2025 Report:

83 teams played in Low Ink, -5 new teams with no results.

Of the 78 teams, 50 played in an open tourney either 1 month before or after the July Low Ink.

Of the 28 who didn’t, 20 are FTIU eligible, meaning only 8 teams are not actively playing in tourneys above their skill level.

X power (Takoroka ONLY) has a very high correlation with competitve skill (not causation)

People who say their power is bad because of shit teammates either
A. Are just as bad as their teammates
B. Dont play the game enough to match the power they are

Even better if the gimmick organization allows idea submissions for gimmicks, esp if there’s a tourney series specifically for player

Despite our collective copium SWS was an absolutely incredible watch. That caliber of play and commentary is already one of a kind, and to have it supported by some of the best production and even stat tracking that we've seen especially for an online event made for something truly special!

i dont know how many people this will reach but hi! im oxii! im a mediocre low level splatoon player. i initially wanted to make a video talking about top level comp from a low level player’s POV, one of my points being that i think it kinda sucks theres no accesible -

it is actually still so crazy to me how applicable it is to learn that if you run past somebody before fighting them it fucks up their timing way more than if you just start fighting them as soon as possible. like you're giving them MORE time to react why does the crossup work so consistently
