The guidelines for our Creative Growth Fellowship is now available! This program is an unrestricted stipend for artists who live within the City of Sacramento, and will support up to 200 artists with a $850 monthly payment for 12 months.

Mellon Foundation Announces $15 Million for Humanities Councils The emergency funding came after the National Endowment for the Humanities canceled most existing grants, part of a pivot toward President Trump’s priorities.

Breaking News: The Mellon Foundation announced $15 million to support state humanities councils after federal aid cancellations left some in danger of collapse. The endowment provides crucial support to museums, historical sites, cultural festivals and community projects.

Panelists are tentatively scheduled to review applications this summer, and we are looking for arts professionals across all disciplines to lend their expertise. To help avoid potential conflicts of interest, we encourage and will prioritize panelist applicants from outside the City of Sacramento.
