I'm a recovering Perfectionist. It was crippling. I've been painting & for once I'm not overthinking it, I'm just having fun! I can't describe how long I stared at this, going back and forth from her name to her comment... my brain just couldn't reconcile the comment with the source of the comment. We really are in an alternate universe now; I have no idea which way is up.

Devi is settling into her new forever home nicely. She's sweet, gentle and playful. She absolutely loves watching the birds from the window and she curls up and sleeps next to my dog at the foot of my bed at night. I adore her already.

I've decided to name the new kitten Devi. It's Sanskrit for 'Goddess' and she's certainly divine. She's settling in nicely and loves to sit in the window and watch the birds come to the window feeder. 🐱

There's a new family member at Camp Zen! Still thinking of a name, but she's very affectionate and as sweet as can be. She made friends with my dog instantly and they were cuddling together within hours. 💖

I literally just said: "Well, why else would she be sitting there, if not to pat the chicken?" in a moment of genuine confusion. But then, I just finished doing chores outside today with a bantam chicken stuffed inside my shawl for an hour or more, so I may be biased. She was having a needy day. 🥰
