How can it be using too much memory if it's essentially just sitting idle and displaying a single page?
I'm unfamiliar with the differences between the different modes though. Will have to look into that.
No, it only happens when going to sleep on its own.
However sometimes I've fallen asleep and woken up to find the device displaying the default Kindle home screen, it somehow having exited the KOReader application although I'm clueless as to how.
Try to understand how frustrating this was. You head out expecting to do some reading and somehow your Kindle isn't waking up. The screen says it has power, as does your memory from last using it. But you just can't turn it on. Then you get home and charge it with prayers on your lips, and see this.

After a whole day of my #Kindle not turning on and wondering whether I'd somehow bricked it, I plugged it to a charger to realise that no - it had fucking died.
The internal battery had whittled down to zero while #KOReader, for some reason, had displayed it at 49% on the sleep screen.

Recently, the original UI of my #Kindle has been artifacting over the #KOReader sleep screen. Specifically the time and battery level.
It only happens when it turns off by itself, and not when I manually turn it off.
