Helping others be scam aware is one of the best things you can do online to help others. We're usually pretty quick on making posts so others are aware of scams on tumblr. We try to tell people to search a usernames before answering asks. But sadly some people are of the 'i'd rather share and help a scammer than risk hurting a real person.' mentality and that's.. so frustrating. lol
