Last night we held our AGM for the Calgary-Klein NDP Constituency Association. We’re excited to welcome a new board and get back out in our amazing community knocking doors, making calls, and building momentum.

Better starts now!

Alberta’s New Democrats have also been hosting large town halls this summer.

We never cut off the microphone, and we welcomed everyone because we genuinely want to hear from citizens.

That’s what governments do.

Albertans deserve better.

Danielle Smith must make things right with the young student, starting with an apology of her own, and she needs to fire her second most senior official for his reprehensible conduct and relieve tax payers of his cushy $825K contract. /3

Last night, Bruce McAllister, the voice of this government, suggested a young student be beaten after daring to ask about education funding and the teachers strike. /1

There is no bottom to the shameful behaviour of the UCP. An insincere apology from McAllister after weeks of callousness and disrespect for Albertans is insufficient.

Evan, you show more care for your teachers in that moment than the UCP will ever be capable of. We deserve better, folks.

I was able to pop by the Crossroads Harvest Fair and was delighted to run into old friends from high school and new friends too. What a lovely way to celebrate the end of summer!

I had the opportunity to stop by the University of Calgary's NDP Club's table!

It was great connecting with students and chatting about the importance of getting involved on campus, building community, and finding like-minded New Democrats. Exciting to see so much energy and engagement from folks!

It’s always a great time at Highland Park’s Music in the Park!

The energy was amazing, and it was such a joy to listen to all the incredible local talent. We had a blast connecting with neighbours, enjoying the music, and celebrating our the vibrancy of Highland Park!

It's not about election integrity or convenience.

It's about a culture war and discriminating against immigrants.

Albertans are struggling with the high cost of living and need good-paying jobs — not more red tape and political distractions. This UCP government should be focused on solutions that make life better, not creating bureaucracy with little benefit.

It's the first week of school for our school community! Welcome back!

This year, families face uncertainty. Students are again crowded into classrooms and teachers and support staff are under tremendous pressure. A teacher's strike could be announced in the coming days. 1/2
