Let me be clear: Itβs ILLEGAL to deny federal workers back pay after a shutdown.
Thereβs a 2019 law that guarantees it, but Trump is once again trying to break the law.
You donβt get to punish people for doing their jobs just because youβre failing at yours.

The post reads: "Republicans can mock Democrats all they want, but the numbers donβt lie. By a 17 point margin, Americans blame the GOP for the shutdown. And Americans overwhelmingly back extending ACA subsidiesβ71% in WaPo, 78% in the KFF poll. This has nothing to do with 'healthcare for illegal immigrants,' and Trump knows it."
End the shutdown, GOP. Extend the ACA subsidies. Stop shoving more money at the billionaires.

The republicans control congress. Democrats did not vote down anything. If the GOP wanted to fund the government, they could have changed the rules to pass a CR with a simple majority like they did 11 days ago to approve 48 trump appointees at once.
Fix your headline.

01.10.2025 15:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0THE TRUMP ECONOMY: US private sector businesses LOST 32,000 jobs in September, far below the expected gain of 51,000, per payroll processor ADP.

Crazy how that works.
30.09.2025 19:04 β π 2633 π 965 π¬ 54 π 35Trump and Republicans made devastating cuts to Medicaid and plan to let vital ACA subsidies expire.
Millions on Medicaid will lose coverage. Millions on ACA plans could see premiums rise by as much as 75%.
Every lie they tell about a shutdown is meant to cover this up.
HEY CORPORATE MEDIA,
Say it with me. Your headline is REPUBLICAN CONGRESS FAILS TO FUND GOVERNMENT: SHUTDOWN IMMINENT
Let me know if you need any help with this
Remember: Undocumented immigrants pay billions of dollars in taxes every year.
They pay into government funded healthcare programs, but can't access them except in case of emergency.
Emergency Medicaid spending accounted for less than 1% of total Medicaid spending in 2023.
One person having the power to upend entire industries and economic sectors on a whim every day that puts companies out of business and workers out of jobs with no legislative input is an autocracy, regardless of whether that person initially acquired power through an election.
