The excuse for this bungling will be that it was a celebration and not a classic military parade. But once again, the USA has humiliated itself in front of the whole world. I hope the Trump voters die of embarrassment.

Lyme was a terrible experience for me I'm thankful it was quickly identified and I had good insurance. People of CT and the US need guaranteed healthcare and medical research.

The article pretty clearly points out this kind of visa already exists for an investment of 1 million. I don't know how increasing the cost would help. Anyone who has this money ready to invest and wants to live in America or gain citizenship doesn't have a problem achieving that.

Personal combat?! He thinks this is an RPG. He has no right to bet a country first off. And honestly, I believe wholeheartedly that he would lose very badly. Putin may be old but he'd take musk, Zelenskyy on the other hand. Actually put the 3 in the ring winner takes all 3 countries.

One of the bigger flaws is not accounting for government spending being a huge part of GDP If the goal was to reduce the debt, why on Earth would you do it in a way that makes it a larger proportion of GDP?

Unfortunately, this whole thing seems to be an experiment in pushing people over the cliff until the bodies are built up enough to cushion the weight of corporations.

I just heard about the death of George Lowe, space ghost himself. I remember the first time I saw space Ghost Coast to Coast and the side splitting laughter. That humor became defining to my personality. It was silly and irreverent without being cruel. Thank you for the laughs Mr. Lowe

We have to remember than GOP votes as a block far more often than Dems. The Dems are more of a coalition of center and left so they don't agree as much
The filibuster has been intact whenever the Dems had the Senate. Those 2 years they had control was height of covid so most policy was recovery.

Forgive me if I came off as denying criticism, what I mean to say is there's more value in rallying behind the Dems doing good work. He's certainly not alone.

The Dems have been trying though they but in the past 12 years congress has only been dem in both chambers 2 years 1/2

Trump’s Biggest Corruption is Flying Under the Radar The scale of corruption in Trump’s White House has been stunning and unprecedented.

I wrote a short explainer for my Substack of the biggest (but strangely under the radar) corruption of the Trump White House: the Trump crypto coin. A conduit for secret, shameless bribery of the President. www.chrismurphyct.com/p/trumps-big...

This is my senator and was my state rep. My first encounters with him were at the state legislature and I've respected him and supporting him since. When people say the Dems aren't fighting they need to look at people like Murphy and evaluate his record of standing up to corruption.

I'm glad you don't really have to worry. For a second there seeing the post I thought you were dealing with America, I live in Korea and it sounds very similar to South Africa. However, I think our costs are still lower. Generally, the quality of care I've received has been excellent.

It's insane you have to worry about this I moved to a country more than 10 places down economically from the US my healthcare is never a concern. Coverage denial isn't a thing, I have cheap supplemental insurance to my public insurance to make sure my out of pocket is ok. Less waiting than the US

My grant was terminated without notice terminated as part the US government cuts, it was substantial portion of my livelihood and it was a job that gave me so much joy and let me share in so much community and giving. I feel so disrespected and lost. I don't know where to go from here.

If government spending in the US is 23% of GDP and the administration plans on cutting this by a third what will do to US growth figures?

I do hate this blame the Dems not the voters mentality. There were tons of single issue abstentions, protest votes, and general not turning out. People being unenthused chose to watch it all burn instead.

Rewatching the #startrek #DS9 episode Past Tense there's a scene that stood out. The homeless were telling their stories that went unheard because they didn't have internet access. What they got wrong here wasn't the unheard stories, but the reason the stories aren't heard is algorithmic filtering.

This is exciting but I'm wondering about 2 problems that existed with old hardware's repairability. First was battery access, batteries fail users need a better way to replace them. Second was the glass. Replacing it was near impossible if damaged.
