Schedule thus far has not been the most challenging, but the toughest test of the season so far will be away at Juventus on Tuesday. Very interested to see how much differs from the friendly a month ago, but today's result should instill some confidence in guys struggling for form.

This team's ceiling this season will depend on how fast they can get healthy. Adding Schlotti, Brandt, Anselmino, even Emre Can back into the squad will be much needed depth if they want to seriously compete for a trophy this year.

But this was not that. BVB dominated the ball and were in total control for all 90 minutes. The midfield looked collected and poised, and that did not change once Jobe and Carney came on. The epidemic of Puma kits isn't just in Germany however, as Man City supporters are suffering also. This season's third kit for City are one of the worst jersey's I have ever seen, regardless of sport.

Furthermore, let us not forget the crime that was Puma's 2021 third kit template.

Borussia Dortmund's away kit this season was disappointing, and previous designs haven't given me much hope for classic, elegant kits that truly represent die Schwarzgelben. It's confusing why they often make them too complex, especially when the CL kit this year proves they can nail it.

I think my main frustration as a BVB fan, is their commitment to Puma. They've reupped their contract with the manufacturer until 2034, putting their relationship at 22 years by that time. But this season in particular has been bad for fans of clubs that sport a Puma badge 🧵

Fortunately for BVB fans, the team sported the away kit just 4 times in 34 Bundesliga games last season. The March retro jersey and buzz about this season's special kit hints that the classic neon yellow is slowly coming back. Using it this way shows the draw backs we could see if that's the case.

In other uniform news, my beloved BVB officially released this monstrosity of an away kit today.The switch from the 1&1 sponsorship of the last few years to Vodafone brought a nostalgic feel, but instead of tailoring it to fit the club's colors, it will be red on everything but the home kits.

Finally: The Ducks.

The school most associated with uniforms, Oregon are the pioneers of CFB uniform strategy. Countless colorways, never wear the same uniform, and a duck. Ever so slowly they have begun their reversion back to the classic green and gold of era's past, and we're better for it. 🦆

Next up: Miami.

Miami fell victim to the Nike Pro Combat era in the 2010s. This period encapsulates the late stage modernism of uniform design. The U's switch to Adidas in 2015 started a slow shift to the classic look of today (so close to the perfection of the early 2000s). ✋ 🤚
