I was part of the internal Trump administration team trying to convince the president to end the shutdown in 2018 - 2019 — for 35 days — before people went hungry, workers lost pay, and government services collapsed.

Here’s what I learned: he doesn’t give a shit.

So trump is indiscriminately blowing up boats in the Caribbean, sending military troops into US cities, and now testing nuclear weapons after breaking a 30 year moratorium. And his supporters think he should get the Nobel peace prize? GTFO.

Btw I too was a sophomore when he died. I still see the look on my teachers face, English class, when they played the announcement from the news on the PA system at school. my heart sank. 

I was in a Catholic school in MI when he was campaigning. The nun suddenly told us all we going outside and walking to the car to because his cavalcade of cars was gonna go right past our school. I had the honor of waving at him. Ha ha I too was so sad when he was killed. 😢

There's always an understandable cynicism for protests. Trump is still president after.

But they let people know they're not alone. They don't allow the pretence of "everybody is a fascist now" to hold. Fascists need you to believe that pretence to succeed. They need your acquiescence.
