I think i understand what people mean by intrusive thoughts. And yeah they’re horrible. They’re not quirky out of pocket things. Their intentions meant to make things worse. And your subconscious knows that. Thats why they’re intrusive.

Am i actually mentally ill? Crazy? Insane? Or is it all just my unbalanced hormones and uncontrolled emotions? Is it all together or one big thing in general? Am i actually happy or is it in just little moments? Am i actually sad all the time or is it those moments i think negatively?

One thing about being a girl not alot of people will understand is the thought process in a girls mind. I cant tell if my internal thoughts are my true intentions, true feelings, true self or if its all fucking hormones and unbalanced of everything in my body.

Water Moon by Samantha Sotto Yamboa is beautiful.

I listened to the audio book and oh my god. The magic system was crazy, so unique. Hanna and Kay are so goals and so tragic.
I finished the audiobook last week and I cant stop thinking about the characters.

I did have fun reading yellowface dgmw, but i feel like theres so much more that shouldve happened and so much potential was spent on the wrong idea.
That said, im still going to look and buy Kuang’s sprayed edge edition. This story may have not been my top favorite, but i love Kuang 4ever 💕

Like I could mot give a fuck about June, not because she was a horribly written character, actually the opposite. Shes written so well that youre supposed to despise her and her line of thinking. And thats why I liked her character cuz she sucked

I feel like Athena should’ve stuck around longer, for a few chapters maybe. I felt no connection to her as a character or to June’s relationship to her. Other than she was a snobby rich author who was asian. I didnt really care for anyone but I think that was intentional.

There are, I believe four chapters alone dealing with twitter wars and internet drama. It was just June lying for the hundredth time about what really happened. I was waiting for something more dramatic to happen, like maybe something paranormal or more conversation about racism in publishing.

So I just finished YellowFace by R.F. Kuang and I have a few thoughts.
Coming from her previous historical fantasy, action packed stories I didn’t know what to expect from her first published literary fiction piece. Least to say, i got kind of bored in the middle of the story.
