Interesting! I'll be honest and say I didn't know that much about SDFs, so I usually opt for the "easiest" solution 😅 We do generate our terrain randomly at runtime tho, that might've made it more complicated to use SDFs, or can they be generated dynamically at runtime too?

Snowboard trails are way harder to make than ski trails 😅 We just used Unity’s trail renderer for ski tracks.

Ended up making a custom trail renderer that generates a mesh based on board orientation vs velocity, it was easiest that way 🙃🏂

We actually talked to VALVe about this, yeah, or, it sees SNØ as SNO, and there are a lot of popular games that start with sno- so even though we are an "exact match" we will be ranked lower 😅 So that is a lesson learned for us: Ø is fine, but 3 letter names for a game is hard to pull off 😅

We finally got SNØ to run smooth on macOS! 🤩 It took a couple of weeks, but now we finally nailed it (hopefully)! 🎉 Fixing freezes and some nasty graphical bugs was a bit of a battle, but getting 60 fps on our little M2 Mac Mini made it all worth it! Demo is updated! 😎 #macgaming #gaming #macOS
