I will be staffing the Utah Home labs community this year and bringing back my power monitoring demo since that was a fun thing last year. I'm making several upgrades to it for this year: longer plug so it can actually reach the conference center outlets better, RGB for eye candy, and 208v wired up

Two contest devices with start/reset buttons, RJ45 ports, and displays

I finally got all the hardware and base firmware working, designed some nice enclosures, and had @marvthegrate.bsky.social 3d print the enclosure models for me. Still working on the contest management software

One project that has taken some focus recently has been a device and related software for a LAN cable making contest... sounds like fun, right? The idea is to basically have a way to time people putting ends on a piece of Ethernet cable and then have a leaderboard up. I stole the idea from DefCon 😁

Alright, so it appears that bluesky is almost like a clone of older twitter before it went to hell. Somewhat more traditional than my experiences with Mastodon. For now maybe I'll just post into the void here
