Illinois marks 60 years of Medicaid Illinois leaders are marking the anniversary of Medicaid by recognizing its importance to millions in the state and highlighting why they see cuts to the program as dangerous.

On the 60th anniversary of Medicaid, I'm reflecting upon the millions across Illinois who depend on these life-saving services.

I'll continue to fight to protect it even as Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans attempt to cut funding.
