by "them" do you mean that the lower-level players need to prove themselves? if so I agree

imo skills/tiers leads to complacency (and an aversion to challenging higher-level opponents) more often than not, and that is a bigger problem than whatever "gatekeeping" is going on

if they think they're at some higher level, then prove it those people

the reputation growth will come with that

I went from ~D8 to D4 within 4 months off of these things, so it is the best method (outside of just being a soloq carrying warlord) that I've seen for climbing out of low-level fast

if I made it out of low-level with a 2200XP peak, so can you

maybe I'll write a guide (or something similar) at some point, but the tl;dr is to meet people at and above your skill level, play with them and grind open-level pickups, and think about how to improve your gameplay as much as you can
