I thought I’d cracked #JodiPicoult formula. Then Leaving Time blindsided me with elephants, grief, a psychic #disastergirl, and a twist so chaotic I wondered if I even knew how to read. If you pick one Picoult, make it this ambush

Oh, I would love to call your work brave, but that's underselling it! There are so many scenes that will forever stay with me now (don't want to spoil them for the 2 people that follow me lol) & tying in Terry Barton & other cultural anchors, it was excellent

The scenes are dark, visceral, and often sickening, but necessary. They force you to sit with the reality that women are told to endure quietly while men and systems cash in on impunity. Palmer doesn’t flinch, and neither should we. Thank you @hachetteaudio.bsky.social for the ARC

Her prose is gorgeous, but the content is brutal: a woman ground down by life, men, and the very systems supposedly built to protect her. The police? Useless. The institutions? Complicit.
